Regina Talbot Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Music Education

Ms. Talbot lends years of expertise to her work with Kids Academy and George M. Davis Jr. Elementary School

WHITE PLAINS, NY, March 7, 2022, Regina Talbot has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

As a child, Ms. Talbot played piano and clarinet, which inspired her to pursue a career in the music industry. While earning a Bachelor of Music from SUNY Oneonta, she served as a graduate assistant for the State University of New York at Fredonia, through which she also received a Master of Music. Following this accomplishment, Ms. Talbot worked as a vocal music teacher for Bellamy Elementary School, Waterville Memorial Park Elementary School, and The American School of Las Palmas, and as a music coordinator and chair of the fine arts department at The American School of Asuncion in Paraguay.

After the turn of the century, Ms. Talbot gained valuable expertise in the field of music with Clark Avenue School, South Memorial Elementary School, Brown Elementary School, Greenlodge Elementary, Avery Elementary School, Dedham Middle School, Garden Street Elementary and H.H. Wells Middle School. Drawing on years of professional knowledge, she presently excels as a private piano and voice teacher, a music instructor at Kids Academy, and as a vocal music teacher for George M. Davis Jr. Elementary School for the City School District of New Rochelle.

Throughout her career, Ms. Talbot has expanded upon her industry knowledge, earning certifications in music for grades K-12, school building leadership and school district leadership through the State of New York, and an advanced graduate certificate in educational leadership from Stony Brook University. In conjunction with her work, she contributes to her community as a substitute organist for St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Yorktown Heights, a music theater co-director for Camp Challenge and as an adjudicator for NYSSMA Solo Festivals.

An expert in her field, Ms. Talbot has contributed to a variety of publications, including “Rising Above Constraints: Characteristics of Music Programs that Defy the Common Trend of Diminishing Resources.” Additionally, she has worked as a music director for such works as “Head Over Heels,” “Aladdin,” “Peter Pan,” “Charlotte’s Web,” “The Jungle Book,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Snow White, Pirates!” and “”Pinocchio, Singing and Dancing with Style.”

Presently, Ms. Talbot serves as an accompanist for various high school musicals and community functions and participates in the Westchester County All-County Elementary Chorus Festivals. In light of her professional achievements, she was named as a Distinguished Music Educator through Yale University. Looking toward the future, Ms. Talbot intends to experience the continued growth and success of her career.
